In 2025, Infinite Backgammon will be born, a 13 day event of pure fun, competition, and discovery, with backgammon as the central theme. Each day will feature different activities, ensuring everyone can participate: whether you want a long, immersive holiday or prefer to join on a specific day. Beyond the game itself, Infinite Backgammon offers a unique chance to explore a stunning region, make new friends, enjoy great company, and experience backgammon like never before. The two traditional cornerstone tournaments will continue – richer and more exciting than ever! – and every day of Infinite Backgammon will offer something special, blending the spirit of backgammon with the magical atmosphere of the Serenissima (near Venice Italy and surroundings).
The Perfect Fusion: Infinite Backgammon
For several years, the Cavallino-Treporti and Città di Jesolo tournaments were held sequentially. However, starting in 2024, the two events merged, adding two new tournaments to create a unique sequence of opportunities for players: the Islands Tournament and the Flamingos Tournament.
The Islands Tournament was an itinerant adventure, held on three enchanting islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Each game round took place in a different location, offering unique settings and the chance to explore parts of Venice far from the usual tourist routes.
The Flamingos Tournament was hosted in a beautiful agriturismo surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Venetian Lagoon’s barene (salt marshes) – a truly unforgettable paradise, unmatched anywhere in the world!
Cavallino-Treporti: September 23 to 29!
Thanks to Infinite Backgammon, not only will the two traditional tournaments be part of the program, but also a brand-new event:
In Venice.
This initiative will allow participants and their companions to explore Marco Polo’s city while playing in some of its most charming spots, surrounded by gondolas and historic palaces.
And even more exciting surprises are on the horizon to make each of the 13 days an unmissable experience!
Città di Jesolo: The Grand Finale – September 30 to October 5
The tournament with the highest participation of international players in Italy celebrates its 25th edition with an exceptionally rich program.
Six days of competitions featuring events divided by category and innovative game formats.
