Main Events
20° Milan Open Champion & Advanced
(New Double Elimination più Consolation). Players eliminated from Main sheet will play Second Chance. First two players of the main tournament and the first two of the Second Chance tournament qualify for the "Final 4". All those eliminated from the previous two phases will play the Consolation. Second Chance and Consolation are progressive, losers in an advanced position fall respectively into an equally advanced position.
• Champion category match points: 11 main, 9 Second Chance, 7 Consolation, "Final 4" 13/15.
• Advanced category match points: 9 main, 7 Second Chance, 5 Consolation, "Final 4" 9/11.
20° Milan Open - Amateur
Main + Consolation: Main 5 points - Consolation 3 points.
Side events
Torneo CDBM
4 random draw rounds, with increasing scores 1-3-5-7 points.
Open CNB
Single Elimination, 7 points. Valid for the CNB 2025 Championship ranking.
Double Consulting
Single Elimination 7 points. It is also possible to play alone.
Cassöela’s Trophy
Single Elimination 7 points. Last tournament dedicated to those who are out of the game.

Single Elimination 9 points.
CHAMPION & ADVANCED
With over 64 players: 4 winners in the main tournament and 8 winners in the Consolation tournament
With over 32 players: 4 winners in the main tournament and 4 winners in the Consolation tournament
With 32 or less players: 4 winners in the main tournament and 2 in the Consolation
ADDED PRIZEs
• Amateur: Backgammon board offered by Romagnoli Via Appiani, 9 Milan
• Ladies prize: To the best lady ranked in the champion category, offered by Diego Tamigi Jewellery Corso Italia, 46 Milan.
• All players must be members of the Circuito Nazionale Backgammon. Cost € 30.00.
• Major tournaments take absolute preference over others.
• A player who leaves the playing area during the tournament must inform the Tournament Director.
• In case of any dispute, Tournament Director will apply the CNB/WBGF international rules.
• Tournament is by CNB invitation only - the organization reserves the right to change the program or any of its parts and refuse registration
• The organization reserves the right to modify the program
for organizational reasons. Any changes will be announced
with reasonable advance notice.
• Streaming: Each players authorized CNB to stream and video record all matches.
• After dinner break, play resumes strictly at 21:30
• Tournaments 20th Milan Open Champion/Advanced and Open CNB give ranking points for 2025 Italian Championship.
