10th Riccione d'Inverno - Champion & Advanced

New Double Elimination format: players eliminated from the Main bracket enter the Second Chance.
The Final 4 consists of the top two players from the Main bracket and the top two from the Second Chance bracket.
All players eliminated from the two main brackets take part in the Consolation tournament.

Transitions between brackets are progressive: a player losing in an advanced stage enters an equivalent position in the next bracket.

  • With more than 48 players: 4 prizes in the Main and 4 prizes in the Consolation.

  • With 48 players or fewer: 4 prizes in the Main and 2 prizes in the Consolation.

  • Should one or both dice resulting from a roll come to rest on the checkers, the roll shall be deemed valid.

Participation in the event requires membership of the A.S.D. Circuito Nazionale Backgammon and ACSI for the year 2026.

 

  • Ordinary Member: €30

  • Supporting Member: €50

  • In the event of any disputes, the WBGF International Rules shall apply.

  • The organisation reserves the right to modify the programme if required for organisational reasons.

  • Tournament matches take priority over any other form of play.

  • Video recording of all matches is permitted.

  • Streaming: the pair selected for broadcast is required to accept.

  • Players wishing to leave the playing room must obtain prior approval from the Tournament Director.

  • Penalty points may be applied in the event of significant delays, both at the start of the tournament and when returning from the dinner break.

  • Play will resume strictly at 21:00 after the dinner break.

  • The organisation reserves the right to refuse tournament entries without providing any explanation.

  • 2 minutes per point and 12 seconds delay per move

  • Double Consulting:
    3 minutes per point and 12 seconds delay per move

  • Speed Gammon (5 points):
    2 minutes total time and 10 seconds delay per move

  • An online direct booking system will be available for individual participants, as outlined below:

  • To benefit from the special rates reserved for Backgammon Event participants, please visit the official Hotel Mediterraneo website.
    The online booking section is located at the top of the page: click on     "BOOK", enter your dates of stay, room type and number of guests, and in the PROMOTIONAL CODE field enter backgammon (lowercase).

  • BOOKING DEADLINE

  • All reservations must be made by 10 March 2026.

  • PAYMENT TERMS

  • A credit card is required as a guarantee, together with a deposit of €90.00 per person, payable at the time of booking.
    The balance is to be paid directly at check-out.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Free cancellation is possible up to 8 days before arrival.

  • From 7 days to 1 day before arrival, the deposit paid will be retained.

  • In case of no-show, 100% of the stay will be charged.
